SYNOPSIS
4 x 42 minute documentary series about the human face of natural disasters. This episode examines the impact of Hurricane Ida in 2021, told from multiple perspectives.

Making landfall on the 16th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina, the storm put New Orleans in the firing line once again, a city that still bears the scars of one of America’s worst natural disasters.

From interviews with survivors struggling to survive in the aftermath, to the decision makers who had to decide whether to evacuate New Orleans, this film tells the story of the worst US hurricane of the 2021 season, a storm which scientists believe is directly linked to climate change and which raises questions about the long term viability of our coastal cities.
